Caramel Pound Cake

Ingredients

1/2 pound butter

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

1 pound brown sugar

5 eggs

3 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup evaporated milk

1 cup nuts

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Beat 3 minutes. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla and nuts.

Bake in large tube pan at 300 degrees for 2 hours.
